Night

This Friday just gone we held our second  stay over at Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground.  In total 13 girls aged 7 to 14 stayed over and we had a wonderful fun time dancing, singing, playing games and cooking together.  Unlike the boys stay over a fortnight ago the girls got into their PJ's early on and made the space comfortable and homely.

During the evening we did lots of girlie things together from nail art, spa face treatments and hairdressing.
going on a fox hunt.
not quite mid night feast but near enough!

I scream, you scream,we all scream for ICE CREAM
"Big up ya self, we're raving -we're raving"

We're going on a bear hunt!
(Group)
We're going on a bear hunt!

We're gonna catch a big one!
We're gonna catch a big one!
I'm not afraid!
I'm not afraid!
Are you?
Are you?
Not me!
Not me!
Here comes the gate
" " (Group Echos)

Now we're on a bear hunt " "
We're gonna catch a big one " "
I'm not afraid " "
Are you? " " Not me! " "

International MUD DAY

Mud Mud Mud Mud....

On Friday 29th June 2012 Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground held it’s first International MUD DAY event. Children helped to celebrate the joy of playing with mud and getting messy in a number of ways.

First off they simply dug up dirt from the back of the playground and mixed it into different thickness. Once they had done this they used long bamboo sticks and sponges to do mud painting on old wallpaper rolls set up on the ground.

On another table children made sticky alternative ‘mud’ play dough – which surprisingly smelt a little bit like chocolate!

After all this messy play children were welcome to a spa treatment and applied mud based face packs to there face.

With on surprise the day ended with a huge mud fest and our play hut was bombed along side anyone standing in the area. All great fun!

The next day we used the opportunity to get the water hoes out and alongside cleaning the hut engaged in a number of water fights, spraying each other and getting truly wet.
