No 4

Rat a ta ta ta...a spontaneous musical drumming and noise session.


Using old buckets, drum sticks and a small selection of whistles and shakers the children sure did make a racket! Lots of children in our playground are really musical and they have been taught African drumming at school. This popular activity has rolled over into our playground and you can regularly hear the distance beat of drumming around the site.

Close Encounter of the third kind!- model making using disposable cake tins, tin foil, yogurt pots and battery powered light.


Our playground has been invaded by flying saucers!


Our play pod gets a make-over! 

keeping with the space theme our play pod needed a change from the green camoflague fabric and what better than to turn in into a space ship - blast off, to the moon and beyound!

5* Hotel! 
Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground children have started to paint wooden blocks depicting houses and buildings. These will go towards making a portable city.

12th month

Well, our season is nearly coming to an end. We've put the Christmas tree up and we are busy making decorations in preparation for the end of year party.

We will be closing this year on Friday 16th December, so with that in mind here's a small idea for a project - a photograph diary to record the run up to the end of the year...
