MUD KITCHEN

Let’s get messy and creative!

A prefect location to install our new mud kitchen was found under the platform of our zip-line swing.

It didn't take a lot to do and a few parents helped by donating items.Once in place children naturally gravited to the area which was great becuase it was perviously a dead space.

We made some low level benches from tree stumps and old pallets where used to make a small square table. Pots and pans have been left out alongside kitchen utilises. Children then found other items, sand, leaves and sticks which allowed them to cook up a right muddy mess!

This is definitely an area that can be further developed, wooden trunks, boxes, pretend oven and sink area….watch this space!...

'Hot Shot' spary paint art

New Banksy revelled...

Recently, a few of the older boys requested to use spray paints. An area was set up around the back of the play hut. The boys then spent the afternoon creating art work on banners and wooden boards.

This activity proved to be really popular and many more children asked to get involved. Future art project in the making maybe...

Birds eye veiw

Photographs taken up high from the scaffolding tower we hired for maintenance repairs!

Quack Quack!

Did we say it's been raining lots recently?
Now we have a couple of ducks visiting the playground, hanging out in the puddles and enjoying the wet weather!!!

Water play

'enough with the rain already!'

Well, we've heard of April showers but come on ...the last month has really been April downpour.
It has rained so much in the last couple of weeks that the playground is truly water logged, muddy and well lets face it wet!

This has lead us to one option, if you can't beat it join it ...roll up your trousers, put on your wellies and hey- presto get out and play in the puddles!

Easter week

Hi there!

...although we have not posted in a while it has not meant we have not been doing anything, far from it!

Our Easter programme was fun packed and lots of children visited the playground. Making short movies, props, painting, building dens, playing with the new nets, cooking outside and blindfold games are but a few of the activities happening each day. Below is a small nap shot college of what we got up to...

See you later alligator!
